Hundreds of job seekers attend Hiring Fair; Rivers looking to fill more than 100 positions in hospitality and gaming

SCHENECTADY, NY — Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady today unveiled “The Landing Hotel,” and set a Mid-July opening date. As the Capital Region’s newest upscale boutique destination, the 165-room hotel includes four-star-caliber amenities with a focus on providing guests with a unique, personalized experience. Well-appointed rooms and suites provide the perfect balance for business and recreational travelers and the modern sleek exterior shimmers along New York’s historic Mohawk River. The announcement took place before a major hiring fair for more than one hundred hospitality and gaming positions.

“Casual elegance, first-class service, amazing food, and access to the best gaming in New York, will ensure that Rivers Casino & Resort guests will be treated to the very best travel experience in the Capital Region,” said Rivers Casino & Resort General Manager Mary Cheeks. “The addition of our new upscale boutique hotel signals that we are full steam ahead at Rivers. In the weeks ahead we’ll be rolling out the red carpet for our first overnight guests and welcoming over one hundred new members to the best team in town.”

Cheeks also announced that hotel management veteran Ryan Cimei will serve as The Landing Hotel General Manager. After unveiling “The Landing Hotel” brand and introducing Cimei, Rivers’ team members opened up its on-site Hiring Fair welcoming hundreds of job seekers.
