Philly’s casino recognized by The Philadelphia Inquirer

PHILADELPHIA April 22, 2019 SugarHouse Casino received its seventh recognition as a “Top Workplace” in Philadelphia byThe Philadelphia Inquirer. With a team of approximately 1,600 employees, SugarHouse was ranked in the large company category and received recognition among a total of 125 companies that were awarded the honor this year.

The “Top Workplace” award is a meaningful recognition, as it is solely based on anonymous Team Member feedback. Participants are asked to answer 24 questions across seven different categories such as leadership, work environment and overall job satisfaction.

“The casino is honored to earn another Top Workplace award,” said Jay Tarbell, vice president of human resources at SugarHouse Casino. “We value our Team Members and want to continue providing them with the tools and opportunities for success.”

The results are calculated by Energage, a third-party employee research and survey company that measures successful culture drivers in organizations. The Philadelphia Inquirer then recognizes the top workplaces in the Greater Philadelphia Area based on their favorable employee feedback.

Not only has SugarHouse been recognized seven times by The Philadelphia Inquirer, the casino has also earned multiple “Best Places to Work” honors by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
