An Unforgettable Night for Wine & Food Lovers and a Thanksgiving Eve Party for Country Fans Coming to Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady


Schenectady, NY (September 7, 2021) – Wine lovers will be in heaven at the Sip & Savor Wine Pairing Event at Dukes Chophouse, while country music fans will be partying on Thanksgiving Eve during Kickin’ it Country Night at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady this fall.

Thursday, October 7: It’s sure to be an unforgettable evening for wine and food lovers during the Dukes Chophouse Sip & Savor Wine Pairing Event. Guests will enjoy an specially curated five-course dining experience with an amazing pairing menu that includes roasted beets with burrata charred kale with a hazelnut vinaigrette – Two Creeks Pinot Noir; seared scallop with quinoa apple salad and butternut squash puree – Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc; pan seared airline chicken breast organic wild rice with bacon root vegetable and pan drippings – Cakebread Chardonnay; herb crusted tenderloin with puree russets and wild mushroom ragout – Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon, and chocolate chuck apple crisp with salted caramel gelato – Domaine Carneros Brut. Wednesday, November 24: Country music fans will be dancin’ and partyin’ on Thanksgiving Eve during Kickin’ it Country Night at the Rivers Casino Event Center. The night of fun includes fantastic live music from David J and The Vinny Michaels Band, along with drink samples from Jack Daniels and other vendors. Grey Area Recording Artist David J is a country singer/songwriter from Rotterdam, New York. David has played shows at some of the top venues in the Northeast and in Nashville and within the past 4 years has had multiple songs on the radio as an artist, and as a producer/songwriter for other artists. The Vinny Michaels Band is lighting up stages throughout the Capital Region with their amazing live performances. The band, led by Broadalbin, NY native and country rock singer/songwriter Vinny Michaels, has performed with national touring acts including Luke Combs, Rodney Atkins, Craig Campbell, Jordan Davis, Walker Hayes, and Keith Anderson. The Orchestra – Symphonic rock fans will be treated to an unforgettable evening when The Orchestra takes the stage on Saturday, November 6 to perform The Electric Light Orchestra’s (ELO) deep catalog of classic rock hits. The Orchestra, starring former members of the Electric Light Orchestra, will thrill the crowd with the original ELO’s most memorable songs including “Strange Magic,” “Do Ya,” “Don’t Bring Me Down,” “Evil Woman,” “Livin’ Thing,” “Turn to Stone,” “Sweet Talkin’ Woman,” “Telephone Line,” “Mr. Blue Sky,” and more. Rivers Casino’s current daily hours of operation are from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Downtime is being used for intensive property-wide deep cleaning in addition to the continuous sanitizing taking place  throughout each day.
