MARLON WAYANS TO PERFORM AT RIVERS CASINO PHILADELPHIA

‘White Chicks’ star brings stand-up comedy show to The Event Center on Oct. 7

PHILADELPHIA — Aug. 2, 2022 — Actor, comedian, writer and film director Marlon Wayans will bring his self-deprecating stand-up comedy show to Rivers Casino Philadelphia on Friday, Oct. 7, at 8 p.m. Tickets for The Event Center performance start at $49 and go on sale Friday, Aug. 5, at 10 a.m.

Wayans films have grossed more than $736 million in domestic box office and $1 billion in global box office earnings. Commonly recognized for his role as Marcus Copeland in the hilarious hit comedy White Chicks, opposite his brother Shawn Wayans, Jamie King and Terry Crews, Wayans is now back on stage in the stand-up game. As a stand-up comedian, he is selling out nationwide and adding new shows every weekend. He hit a career milestone with his highly anticipated first-ever stand-up comedy special Woke-ish, which premiered on Netflix in February 2018.

“Marlon Wayans fans who have enjoyed his on-screen comedy for years will love seeing him on The Event Center stage,” said Justin Moore, general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia. “It’s a feel-good, interactive show that will have the guests laughing all night.”

Wayans recently wrapped production on an untitled Halloween film for Netflix that he is starring in and producing; he can also most recently be seen starring as Ted White in MGM’s Aretha Franklin biopic, Respect, opposite Jennifer Hudson. Other notable performances from Wayans include his roles in the horror comedy spoof film series Scary Movie, The Wayans Bros., Sextuplets, and The Heat.
