PHILLY’S CASINO HOSTS THIRD THURSDAY FOOD FESTS ON THE DELAWARE

Philly Foodies and Food Truck Fans Can Enjoy SugarHouse Summer Eating Events

PHILADELPHIA — June 18, 2013 — SugarHouse is right in the mix of the food truck craze. Come hungry to Philly’s casino and enjoy summer nights on the waterfront with the flavors of local food truck royalty, when they come together for delicious events throughout the season.

Beginning Thursday, June 20, SugarHouse will host Food Fest along the Delaware Riverfront. Every third Thursday evening through September, guests will find nearly a dozen food trucks parked along the casino’s riverfront path with great bites and stunning views.

Guests can take a stroll along the waterfront while indulging in the flavors of featured food trucks including favorites such as Chef Johnny Bravo’s Surf & Turf, PJ’s Food Truck, Bonjour Creperie, Lil Dan’s Gourmet Food, Reuben on Rye, Gigi and Big R and more. Plus, the casino will provide two outdoor bars along the waterfront, with tables and chairs for riverfront relaxation.

“Philly’s foodies will love this event,” Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino said. “From crepes, to jerk chicken, to crab cakes, there’s something for everyone on the waterfront with this monthly Food Fest.”

For those who want to move around after indulging in all of the goodies, SugarHouse will have a live DJ spinning tunes throughout the event for guests to dance the night away, plus fun outdoor games to play.
