Rivers Casino invites business owners and community leaders to welcome luncheon 

DES PLAINES, IL (January 2, 2014) – Rivers Casino today proudly announced the appointment of Peter Choy as Player Development Executive, responsible for local, national and international Asian marketing & entertainment as well as planning on and off property special events that cater to VIP Asian guests. Peter joins the company from Horseshoe Casino Hammond where he served in a similar capacity as Director of Asian Marketing specializing in Player Development.

On Wednesday, January 8th at noon, Rivers Casino will officially welcome Peter by hosting a luncheon in his honor for select members of the Asian business and civic community at Phoenix Restaurant (2131 South Archer).

Peter is a native of Hong Kong who came to the United States as a child and grew up in Chicago’s Chinatown community. He was able to solidify relationships with residents and business owners both inside and outside Chinatown and has been an active member in respective organizations, maintaining involvement in the Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Flipino and Thai communities. Peter is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin and has over twenty years of experience in the gaming industry.  He began his career at Harrah’s Joliet in Table Games and quickly rose up the ranks holding a variety of positions at both Grand Victoria Casino and Horseshoe Casino. “I am delighted to join Rivers Casino and be part of their incredible success story,” said Peter.  “Rivers Casino has made a huge impact on the Chicagoland market and I am proud to be joining the team.”
