Casino Offers Delicious Dining and Exciting Gaming for the City of Brotherly Love

PHILADELPHIA — Feb. 1, 2013 — SugarHouse Casino is offering the City of Brotherly Love more reasons to enjoy the month of February with great gaming, dining and entertainment.

Pandora Jewelry & Free Play Sweepstakes – On Saturday, Feb. 9, between 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., one winner will be selected every half-hour to receive $500 free play and their choice of a Pandora bracelet, necklace or set of earrings. Guests must be playing with their Rush Rewards Card to be eligible.

Valentine’s Hugs & Kisses Sweepstakes – On Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, two guests will be selected every hour between noon and 8 p.m. for a chance to play the Hugs & Kisses Valentine’s Game. Participants are guaranteed at least $250 free play once selected, and will be instructed to select either an “X” or an “O” symbol that will reveal their prize.

President’s Weekend Cash & Car Sweepstakes – Spend President’s Day Weekend with Washington, Lincoln, Jackson and Grant. Starting on Friday, Feb. 1, through Monday, Feb. 18, guests can swipe their Rush Rewards Card at the kiosk every day to earn a mystery amount of entries for a chance to win their share of $10,000 cash or a 2013 Lincoln MKZ. Guests can earn 10—100 entries per day. Winners will be drawn every half-hour Feb. 16—18 from 2—10 p.m., with more than 50 winners chosen per day. At 10 p.m., the winner of the car will be announced. Participants must activate their earned entries by swiping their Rush Rewards Card at the kiosk on each day of the drawings between 6 a.m.—9:30 p.m.

Celebrate the Chinese New Year at SugarHouse with special menu items from Feb. 9—24, including crab fried rice, ginger scallion lobster, Chilean sea bass with tofu and black mushrooms in an oyster sauce, plus more.

Additionally, indulge in Fat Tuesday on Feb. 12 with delicious Mardi Gras-inspired foods such as blackened catfish with cheesy grits and collard greens, seafood jambalaya, gumbo and bananas foster.

Events & Entertainment

For the first time, SugarHouse is a sponsor of the Home Show, held at the Philadelphia Convention Center Feb. 2—10. Tickets for the show are available for purchase at the cashier cage at SugarHouse for $13 each, and attendees can park at the casino and ride the free shuttle over to 12th and Arch St. during show hours.

He’s the “Geator with the Heater” and he’s spinning tunes every week at SugarHouse on Rockin’ with Jerry Blavat Wednesdays. The renowned radio disc jockey and Philadelphia legend performs at The Refinery restaurant from 5—7 p.m.

Every Thursday from 5—8 p.m., bust a move at SugarHouse with DJ Jimmy Lamb, followed by favorite local crooners Eddie Bruce & Friends. Eddie brings classic jazz standards to life and lots of fun and surprises to every performance, with his Thursday appearances from 8 p.m. to midnight. Plus, catch Eddie for a special Valentine’s Day event on Feb. 14 from 4—10 p.m. Enjoy cocktails with a special someone before sitting down to a three-course prix fixe dinner, with a main entrée choice of filet of beef medallions, black bass or chicken fettuccine Alfredo. At 8 p.m. get ready to dance with your date to the 11-piece Eddie Bruce Orchestra.

Wind down from a stressful work week with acoustic duos on Fridays from 6—9:30 p.m. in The Refinery. Then, let loose with SugarHouse’s Friday Night Dance Party until 1 a.m., featuring some of the area’s biggest bands like Don’t Call Me Francis and The Exceptions.

From 6:30—9:30 p.m. get your grove on at SugarHouse as the casino hosts Acoustic Saturdays. The band will strum the night away while you dance to some of your favorite guitar classics. Starting at 9:30 p.m., the laid back acoustic vibe will transform to a dance-heavy party as the Jersey Shore invades! Jersey Shore Invasion will take place every Saturday until 1 a.m.
