Philly’s Casino Kicks-off 2013 with Exciting Gaming and Delicious Dining Options

PHILADELPHIA —Jan. 2, 2013 — To start the year ahead, SugarHouse Casino is offering exciting gaming promotions for the month of January, giving guests even more ways to make 2013 their lucky year.

$1 Million Football Challenge Game – The Birds may not have been the winning team of the football season, but Rush Rewards members still have the chance to come out on top. As part of the casino’s season-long $1 Million Football Challenge Game, on Jan. 6, the top five players with the best rankings of the season will be announced. Second through fifth place will split $9,500 cash and first place wins an all-inclusive trip to New Orleans and two tickets to the big game. Ten other players will have a chance to win $1,000 cash in a raffle drawing on Jan. 6. And, if a guest was able to pick 205 winning games correctly out of the 238 total games, he or she will take home a linebacker-sized check for $1 million cash.

$100,000 Plynko Game – Everyone’s favorite “Price is Right” game is coming to SugarHouse as the casino is offering guests a chance to play the game Plynko. Every Sunday in January between noon and 6 p.m., two people will be selected every half hour to play on the Plynko game board for a chance to win their share of $25,000 free play. Guests will receive a chip to drop down the Plynko board. The chip will bounce through a maze and land in a slot on the game board, which will determine the player’s prize.

Auto Show Car Sweepstakes – Starting on Tuesday, Jan. 1 at 6 a.m., guests can earn entries for a chance to win their share of more than $10,000 free play, Philadelphia Auto Show tickets or a brand new Cadillac ATS 2013—one of the cars being featured at the show. There will be more than 100 winners chosen on Saturday, Jan. 19 between 2—10 p.m. One winner will be selected every 15 minutes. As a bonus, through Jan. 18, for every 20 entries guests earn, they will receive five dollars in free play, up to $200. The free play may be activated by swiping at the kiosk on Jan. 19 from 6 a.m.—9:30 p.m.

And, come visit SugarHouse’s booth at the Philadelphia Auto Show from Jan. 19—27. At the show, SugarHouse will be passing out offers for $15 free play or $25 match play when new members sign up for a Rush Rewards card. The offers will be good through the end of February.

Tickets for the Auto Show will be sold at SugarHouse’s Rush Rewards Center, and guests can park and ride over to the Convention Center for free using SugarHouse’s Sugar Express.

Get ready for Wing Bowl 21 in Philadelphia by celebrating with SportsRadio WIP’s Marc Farzetta and former Eagle Hollis Thomas at SugarHouse Casino’s Wing-off on Thursday, Jan. 10 from 6—8 p.m. Guests and wing-eating enthusiasts can compete for a coveted spot in this year’s Wing Bowl, of which SugarHouse is a co-title sponsor. Contestants will have 10 minutes to consume as many wings as possible.

He’s the “Geator with the Heater” and he’s spinning tunes every week at SugarHouse on “Rockin’ with Blavat Wednesdays.” Renowned radio disc jockey and Philadelphia legend Jerry Blavat performs at The Refinery restaurant from 5—7 p.m.

Every Thursday from 5—8 p.m., bust a move at SugarHouse with DJ Jimmy Lamb, followed by favorite local crooners Eddie Bruce & Friends. Eddie brings classic jazz standards to life and lots of fun and surprises to every performance, with his appearances now on Thursdays through 11:30 p.m.

Wind down from a stressful work week with acoustic duos on Fridays from 6—9:30 p.m. in The Refinery. Then, let loose with SugarHouse’s Friday Night Dance Party until 1 a.m., featuring some of the area’s biggest bands like Don’t Call Me Francis and The Exceptions.

From 6:30—9:30 p.m. get your grove on at SugarHouse as the casino hosts “Acoustic Saturdays.” The band will strum the night away while you dance to some of your favorite guitar classics. Starting at 9:30 p.m., the laid back acoustic vibe will transform to a dance-heavy party as the Jersey Shore invades! “Jersey Shore Invasion” will take place every Saturday until 1 a.m.
