PHILADELPHIA — May 1, 2012 — SugarHouse is ready to kick-off the unofficial start to the summer season this month with great gaming promotions and food specials. And, join us for live entertainment on The Waterfront and Memorial Day Weekend fireworks.   

Gaming Promotions

Winning Rush of Free Play – All month long, SugarHouse will be selecting 100 winners five times each day to win up to $100 in free slot play. Rush Rewards members who are playing any slot using their card are eligible—all day, every day in May.

April Play Brings May Cash – Guests who earned points in April can now redeem them for cash on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. For every 50 points earned, participants will receive $10 cash.

$5K Free Play Cinco de Mayo Giveaway – On Cinco de Mayo, Saturday, May 5, one guest will be chosen every hour between noon and 8 p.m. to pick a lucky coin out of the SugarHouse piñata to win their share of $5,000 in free play. All selected participants will walk away with at least $100 of free play.

$100K Money Grab Memorial Weekend Giveaway – On Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 25, through Sunday, May 27, one person will be chosen every hour between noon and 9 p.m. to enter the money grab machine for a chance to grab up to $3,500 in cash. Guests must be playing with their Rush Rewards card to be eligible.

Memorial Day Boat Giveaway – Between Tuesday, May 1, and Monday, May 28, guests can earn entries for a chance to win their share of $10,000 in free slot play or a new 2012 Yamaha AR240 Speed Boat. Drawings will take place every hour from 4 p.m. until the boat grand prize is drawn at 8 p.m. on Memorial Day, May 28.

Entertainment & Events

Come to The Waterfront at SugarHouse and celebrate Memorial Day Weekend, May 26—28, with a spectacular fireworks display over the Delaware River on Saturday, May 26. The festivities will start at 6 p.m. with live music on The Waterfront:

6—7 p.m.: Live DJ

7—8 p.m.: 52nd Street (Billy Joel cover band)

8—8:30 p.m.: Live DJ

8:30—10 p.m.: Captain Fantastic (Elton John cover band)

Then, at 10 p.m., watch the fireworks light up the sky over the casino. Carnival-themed concessions will be sold along SugarHouse’s riverfront walking path throughout the performances and fireworks, including snow cones, jumbo smoked turkey legs, root beer floats and barbecued sweet corn.

And, throughout the entire weekend inside The Refinery, guests can also enjoy a seafood fest with items such as 1 lb. lobsters, fried clams, peel-and-eat shrimp, corn on the cob, rice pilaf, chicken scampi and more, all for $21.95.

Known for being one of Philly’s most popular bandleaders, Philadelphia’s own Eddie Bruce & Friends will perform every Friday from 5:30—11 p.m. at The Refinery. Eddie brings classic jazz standards to life with the amazing Tom Adams Trio, special guest performers and lots of fun and surprises.

SugarHouse hosts “Party on the River” on Saturdays, from 5 p.m.—1 a.m. at The Refinery. Hit the dance floor to all of the hottest tunes from the 80s and today.
