Philly’s Casino Gives Guests Reasons to be Thankful with Great Food and Gaming

PHILADELPHIA —Oct. 31, 2012 — It’s the season to be grateful, and SugarHouse, Philly’s first and only casino, is thanking its guests by giving them more ways to win and have fun this November.

$1 Million Football Challenge Game – Continuing throughout the football season, visit the Rush Rewards Kiosk to select your weekly winning teams for a chance to win prizes. Each week the top three players with the best rankings will win their share of $2,500. On Jan. 6, 2013, the top five players with the best season-long rankings will be announced. Second through fifth place will split $9,500 cash and first place wins an all-inclusive trip to New Orleans and two tickets to the big game. Ten other players will have a chance to win $1,000 cash in a raffle drawing on Jan. 6. By the end of the season, if a guest was able to pick 205 winning games correctly out of the 238 total games, he or she will take home a linebacker-sized check for $1 million dollars cash. No purchase necessary.

$100,000 Gift Blow Out Sweepstakes – Starting on Thanksgiving, Nov. 22, and continuing through Nov. 25, guests will have the chance to win more than $100,000 in cash, electronics, gift cards, shopping sprees and more. At the end of the promotion, there will be more than 250 winners. Guests can enter by playing with their Rush Rewards card. The grand prize of a 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid will be drawn on Sunday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m.

$75K Macy’s Holiday Weekend Sweepstakes – Beginning on Thursday, Nov. 1, through Sunday, Dec. 2, guests will have a chance to earn entries to win their share of over $75,000 in Macy’s gift cards. Drawings will take place Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 between 2—10 p.m. Guests can earn entries by playing with their Rush Rewards card and must activate those entries on the days of the drawing at SugarHouse’s kiosk machines.

Veteran’s Day Hot Seat On Monday, Nov. 12, between noon and 8 p.m., one participant will be selected every half-hour to choose a mystery cash envelope. Selected participants will have the chance to win $20, $50, $100, $500 or $1,000 in cash. Guests can enter by playing with their Rush Rewards card.

Dining & Beverage Specials

Every Sunday during football season, guests can refuel with delicious tailgate specials in The Refinery. Some of the specials include appetizer combos such as wing and rings for $10; a SugarHouse Sampler Platter with waffle fries, sliders and mini hot dogs for $15; and the “4th Quarter” that includes four types of sliders for $10. Plus, Miller Lite 16-oz. aluminum bottles will only cost $3.

Entertainment & Events

Join SugarHouse for one of the biggest party days of the year the night before Thanksgiving. Attend the Pre-Thanksgiving Bash on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at The Refinery from 7—11 p.m. Enjoy $2 Miller High Life and $4 Bacardi and Pucker cocktails all night, along with half-priced appetizers between 7—9 p.m. In addition, Rock Star Karaoke with Element K will be available for guests’ entertainment.

He’s the “Geator with the Heater” and he’s spinning tunes every week at SugarHouse on “Rockin’ with Blavat Wednesdays.” Renowned radio disc jockey and Philadelphia legend Jerry Blavat performs at The Refinery restaurant from 5—7 p.m.

Additionally, every Wednesday SugarHouse will give guests “More to Love” after Blavat’s weekly performances in The Refinery from 7—11 p.m.

Every Thursday starting at 8 p.m., local favorite and South Philly native DJ Johnny Looch will be spinning fresh night beats, sure to get everyone on their feet. Looch is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience as a solo disc jockey. And earlier in the night, “Bust a Move” with DJ Lamb, who will be warming up the crowd starting at 5 p.m.

Known for being one of Philly’s most popular bandleaders, Philadelphia’s own Eddie Bruce will perform on “Swing-Out Fridays” from 6:30—9:30 p.m. at The Refinery. Eddie brings classic jazz standards to life and lots of fun and surprises to every performance. This month, he’ll be performing with the Tom Adams Trio each week. The music will continue after each of Eddie’s performances with “Dance Party Friday.” Join the dance party until 1 a.m. with great acts such as:

  • Nov. 16: Animal House

From 6:30—9:30 p.m. get your grove on at SugarHouse as the casino hosts “Acoustic Saturdays.” The band will strum the night away while you dance to some of your favorite guitar classics. Starting at 9:30 the laid back acoustic vibe will transform to a dance-heavy party as the Jersey Shore invades! “Jersey Shore Invasion” will take place every Saturday until 1 a.m. and feature bands such as:

  • Nov. 10: 52 Pick Up Duo / Lucky You
  • Nov. 17: Matt’s Way Duo / Shorty Long and the Jersey Horns
