This Past Weekend Adds to More Than $77 Million in Jackpots Since Opening
PHILADELPHIA — July 15, 2013 — Philly’s latest heat wave started at SugarHouse Casino on Saturday night, when one lucky player hit big and took home a jackpot of $100,008. The guest, who lives in Newtown, Pa., was playing a $1, “Wheel of Fortune” progressive slot machine at the time of the win.
Since SugarHouse opened along the Delaware Riverfront in September 2010, the casino has awarded 27,000 jackpots, which are defined as a winning of more than $1,200. That’s an average of more than 25 jackpots per day.
To date, SugarHouse has paid more than $77 million in jackpots to its guests.
