SUGARHOUSE LAUNCHES FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND WATERFRONT CONCERT SERIES

Philly’s Casino Hosts Live Music Along the Delaware River All Summer

PHILADELPHIA — June 13, 2013 — Summer is finally here, which means it’s time to relax and have a good time in wonderful weather. SugarHouse brings all the fun of summer nights to Philadelphia with the casino’s first-ever outdoor concert series on its Delaware riverfront.

All summer long, every Friday and Saturday night from 5 p.m.—12 a.m., guests can lounge, dance and dine outdoors on the beautiful waterfront while listening to the sounds of Philly’s favorite bands and performers. The series begins July 4 and continues through Saturday, Sept. 7.

A new stage will be placed on the casino’s riverfront path, where acts such as Secret Service, Don’t Call Me Francis, The Heartbeats and The Exceptions will perform. Each weekend, guests can enjoy great food and drink options from the two outdoor bars the casino is adding so that no one has to ever leave the dance floor.

“We always look forward to celebrating the summer season here at Philly’s casino,” Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino said. “This outdoor concert series allows us to take full advantage of our stunning riverfront location. Guests can now enjoy their favorite bands surrounded by outstanding views of the river.”

To complete the setting, the casino’s riverfront will be decorated with Adirondack chairs, tables and benches for guests to relax, kick-back and have a good time.

After the outdoor performances, guests can continue the fun indoors from midnight— 1:30 a.m. with a live DJ in The Refinery restaurant and bar.
