SUGARHOUSE TEAM MEMBER EARNS GLOBAL LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

Global Gaming Expo Awards David Vatthanavong with Emerging Leaders Scholarship

PHILADELPHIA — Sept. 18, 2013 — SugarHouse is pleased to announce that Global Gaming Expo (G2E), the premier trade show and conference event for the international gaming entertainment industry, has awarded one of the casino’s table games managers, David Vatthanavong, with a 2013 Emerging Leaders Scholarship.

Vatthanavong is one of only seven people chosen worldwide to receive this honor, awarded to professionals under the age of 40 in order to cover the costs of attending the G2E 2013 Conference, which includes a conference pass and a two-night hotel stay. Scholarship recipients represent different gaming properties and functional areas within the industry, and they were selected by G2E and The Innovation Group, a consulting services provider for the leisure and hospitality industry.

Vatthanavong has been a member of the SugarHouse team since day one, when it opened in September 2010.

“We have so many amazing team members at SugarHouse and David has been an incredible role model for so many since joining the SugarHouse family,” Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino, said. “Everyone here is so proud of him for this recognition and for being a true up-and-coming industry leader on a global scale.”

The G2E conference provides gaming professionals with access to cutting-edge products and technologies, valuable networking opportunities and unmatched educational programming. It will be held Sept. 24—26 in Las Vegas, with G2E’s specialized and intensive professional education taking place on Sunday, Sept. 22 and Monday, Sept. 23.
