Jacob Oberman

Jacob Oberman is the Senior Vice President of Development for Rush Street Gaming. He is responsible for Business Development strategies associated with new land-based casino opportunities. Since joining Rush Street Gaming in 2019, Jacob spearheaded pre-development activities for the $300 million plus Rivers Casino Portsmouth, located in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area (early 2023 opening).

Oberman also partners with Rush Street Interactive (NYSE Ticker Symbol: RSI), which went public via SPAC in December 2020, on strategic growth opportunities in the areas of online casino gaming (aka “iGaming”) and sports betting. RSI, which was ranked #3 on Electronic Gaming Review’s U.S. Power 50 Rankings (2020), is one of the fastest-growing online gaming companies in the U.S.

Prior to joining Rush Street, from 2012 through June 2019, Oberman was Senior Vice President of Global Development for MGM Resorts International where he was responsible for evaluating and engaging in the Company's land-based and interactive development opportunities. While with MGM, he played an instrumental role in the identification and the early groundwork that led to the development of MGM National Harbor – a highly successful $1.5 billion destination casino resort located just outside of Washington D.C.

From 2005 to 2011, Oberman was the Director of Gaming Research & Analysis with CBRE where he was the co-head of the group providing consulting services to the gaming and investment community. In this role, he conducted gaming market assessments and feasibility studies for commercial casino, tribal casino, and racino projects in a variety of markets, including Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Singapore and various regional markets.

Oberman is very active in the community. He is currently on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Nevada-Las Vegas William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. Jacob was a 2019 graduate of Leadership Las Vegas. From 2013 through April 2019, Jacob was a member and past Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation.

Oberman holds a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.
