Michael Tobin

A 40+-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, Mike Tobin joined Rush Street Gaming in 2019 as Senior Vice President – Real Estate & Construction and is responsible for directing all real estate activities for Rush Street Gaming and its affiliated casinos and hotels. Since joining Rush Street, Tobin has directed an aggressive building program for the company’s properties, including the expansion of Rivers Casino Des Plaines, the development of the Landing Hotel at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, and the ground-up development of Rivers Casino Portsmouth.

Prior to joining Rush Street Gaming, Tobin was a real estate developer, and was responsible for such diverse projects as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Center, the Centene Healthcare Center in Clayton, MO, the Fairmont Hotel/ Chicago, California Plaza in Los Angeles, the Hampton Inn Majestic Hotel at the Schubert (now CIBC) Theater in Chicago, the Chicago Architecture Center, the renovation and adaptive re-use of Chicago Union Station, the expansion of the Steppenwolf Theater Center and the development of the world’s largest Starbucks, the Starbucks Roastery on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. He also served as President & COO of Central Station Development Corporation, the developer of an 80-acre mixed-use development project adjacent to Grant Park in Chicago.

Tobin is a registered architect and a graduate of the University of Michigan. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Lambda Alpha Land Planning Society and a Director and Past Chairman of the Near South Planning Board in Chicago.
