ALL ABOARD! JOB SEEKERS CAN LAND A CAREER AND A FREE CRUISE ATRIVERS CASINO PHILADELPHIA’S JOB FAIR
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On-the-spot job offers for experienced dealers; recent grads encouraged to apply on June 22
PHILADELPHIA — June 19, 2023 — If you’d rather play games for a living, there’s never been a better time—or a better place—than right now at Rivers Casino in Philadelphia. Prospective table games dealers who attend the Fishtown casino’s job fair on Thursday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., can land a career and are eligible to win a free cruise.
As part of its newly implemented hiring campaign to attract both new and experienced dealers, Rivers is offering the highest-known base rate in Pennsylvania. Starting dealers will earn base pay plus tips, which can add up to $30 per hour. There are experienced dealers at Rivers who already exceed that amount.
No prior casino experience is needed; however, Pennsylvania table games dealers must be at least 18 years of age. Rivers’ trainees are paid $25 an hour to attend a free four-week dealer school.
Recent graduates and those looking for a career change are encouraged to attend the job fair. Applicants from all walks of life have become successful table games dealers, including veterans, retirees, career-changers, current students, or individuals looking to supplement other current earnings.
Job Fair Highlights
On-the-spot interviews will be conducted, with immediate job offers for qualified candidates. Candidates should report to the HR suite by using the double glass doors next to the parking garage entrance.
Details will be provided on compensation and benefits, including:
o Healthcare
o Paid time off
o 401(k) vesting
o Tuition reimbursement (for those who qualify)
o Weekly paychecks
o Free Team Member parking
On-site applicants will be entered into a drawing for a free multiday cruise, courtesy of MSC Cruises.*
Learn More, Earn More
Dealers can further accelerate their base pay by learning multiple games, including baccarat, roulette and craps. Each additional game moves dealers up the pay scale and adds variety to their workday—while giving the casino more options for mutually beneficial scheduling.
“This is an incredible opportunity for recent graduates and for those who have a passion for gaming,” said Eric Althaus, general manager at Rivers Casino Philadelphia. “With the highest-known base pay for dealers in Pennsylvania, Rivers is a great place to start a career.”
Prospective Team Members/Candidates are encouraged to start the application process by visiting the careers page at RiversCasino.com/Philadelphia before attending the job fair.
In addition to the June 22 job fair, Rivers Casino hosts walk-in interviews every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
*Cruise includes Bella Balcony accommodations; travel must occur within one year.
