RIVERSUITES LUXURY BOUTIQUE HOTEL OPENS IN FISHTOWN
Riversuites Luxury Boutique Hotel Opens in Fishtown
Rivers Casino Philly debuts apartment-style suites inside The Battery mixed-use campus
PHILADELPHIA — Dec. 20, 2023 — Riversuites luxury boutique hotel is making Rivers Casino the place to stay and play in Philadelphia. And, odds are, you haven’t seen anything like it.
Hotel guests will enjoy upscale suites — and only suites — that are apartment-style accommodations with one-, two- and three-bedroom options. Every suite has a fully equipped kitchenette, while several feature patios and bi-level lofts.
Many of the 62 suites offer stunning views of the Delaware River, and hotel guests will enjoy immediate access to one of Philly’s hottest neighborhoods — Fishtown. The accommodations provide guests with a luxurious stay while they enjoy gaming, dining and entertainment at Rivers Casino, along with everything else the City of Brotherly Love has to offer.
“The luxury accommodations at Riversuites are a game changer for Rivers Casino Philadelphia,” said Eric Althaus, general manager of the casino. “VIPs and out-of-town visitors won’t find penthouse-quality suites with waterfront views like this anywhere else in Philly.”
Riversuites’ exceptionally spacious suites average 864 square feet, with the largest at over 2,200 square feet. In addition to private bedrooms with roomy walk-in closets, each suite features a generous seating area with a convertible sofa bed for additional sleeping accommodations.
The upsized and upscale loft suites are ideal for hospitality entertaining as well as family and group travel.
Riversuites is located inside The Battery, the mixed-use lifestyle campus on Beach Street. The hotel offers several other traditional and unconventional amenities: co-working areas, lobby gathering spaces, a billiards table — and an indoor basketball court.
The casino’s 22-acre waterfront property connects with The Battery via the Delaware Riverwalk by way of picturesque Penn Treaty Park. The two properties are a six-minute walk or a three-minute ride apart. Rivers will run a complimentary 24/7 shuttle with 24/7 security and will offer 24/7 complimentary valet parking.
Riversuites has immediate proximity to the eight restaurants and bars at Rivers Casino, including the elegant Martorano’s Prime, an Italian-American Steakhouse; Sicilian Slice for grab-and-go pizza; classic burgers and shakes from FLIPT; coffee and donuts from Dunkin’; and more.
“Opening Riversuites inside The Battery is the perfect opportunity for Rivers Casino Philadelphia to continue to be part of Fishtown’s growth and revitalization,” said Tim Drehkoff, CEO of Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming. “The hotel’s addition marks an exciting time for our team and, most importantly, for our guests who will enjoy a remarkably unique overnight experience.”
Riversuites will be operated by Rivers Casino Philadelphia, which is owned and operated by Rush Street Gaming and its affiliates. Koo Architecture of Chicago designed the Riversuites hotel. Strada of Philadelphia is the architect for The Battery.
The new hotel has added more than 40 permanent hospitality jobs to the casino’s existing 1,100-plus workforce.

ABOUT THE BATTERY
The Battery is a $154 million redevelopment initiative currently underway by its Philadelphia-based owner, Lubert-Adler Real Estate Funds. The active phase includes 173 apartments, 135,000 square feet of office space and 100,000 square feet of event space — and the Riversuites hotel.
Formerly the Delaware Power Station, the 11-acre Beach Street complex was commissioned as a PECO power plant in the early 1900s. By the 1950s, it was the utility company’s largest, providing power to nearly half of Philadelphia. Eight 167-foot-tall chimneys remain as historic architectural elements.
The Battery is an architectural stunner designed in beaux-arts classical revival style by famed turn-of-the-century Philly architect John Windrim. His prolific portfolio also includes The Franklin Institute, the Philadelphia Municipal Court and the provost’s residence at Penn.
