RIVERS CASINO PITTSBURGH MAKES $4.2 MILLION PAYMENT TO THE SPORTS & EXHIBITION AUTHORITY FOR PPG PAINTS ARENA

PITTSBURGH — Oct. 2, 2023 — Rivers Casino Pittsburgh and the Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County (SEA) announced today that Rivers Casino has now paid $109.2 million toward construction of PPG Paints Arena.
Rivers Casino contributes $7.5 million annually to the SEA, with installments occurring in October and April each year. This week’s $4.2 million payment will be followed by a $3.3 million installment on April 1, 2024.
By 2038, Rivers Casino will have contributed a total of $225 million per agreement with the SEA for the arena’s construction, which was completed in 2010. Rivers Casino opened in August of 2009.

Rivers Casino generates approximately $160 million annually for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Allegheny County and Pittsburgh, including the city’s economic development and tourism fund.
